Wrong Direction

THERE was at one time a young lady who was keen on games, however when she achieved Grade 7 she understood that in her nation, sports was a vocation which was difficult for ladies to seek after. She would not have had the option to become showbiz royalty, so she changed her concentration from games to studies, and set her eyes on joining the common administration. When she got her Bachelor's qualification, she had surrendered her common administration dreams on the grounds that, to place it in her very own words, there was "minimal expenditure" in it. She joined the top school of the nation to think about financial aspects. It was here that she met her future spouse who unexpectedly beat the common administrations examinations in 1996 and joined the administration possibly to stop five years after the fact when the couple moved to the US. This is the genuine story of Dr Gita Gopinath, boss market analyst at the IMF, and is as appropriate to Pakistan for what it's wo...

Poem

Poem In a throng of life All men and women are not alike. Black, white, brown, all same no one must bear the blame one Who's created, if He's there Beautiful are all uniquely created faces here Here, no one is inferior same as no one is superior Beauty lies not in sameness rather in not-sameness love all, abhor none embrace all, detest none.  Pakistan should not curb diversity because suppressing and neglecting minorities promotes rigidity. That has ruined our image throughout the world. Written by Abdul Muqset

Current Religious tolerance level in Pakistan and India

On both sides of Radcliffe line, minorities are brutally exploited. Seeds of hatred are deeply rooted in the unfortunate land of subcontinent. India's extremist tendencies under the grab of secularism are crystal clear. In fact India never was a secular state. While on other side of the border, though harsh for many, minorities are forcefully converted. They are treated as third class citizens. They aren't given jobs  on the basis of their abilities. Their faith determines their fate. Why don't we try to spread peace, love and tolerance? This question haunts the minds of every sane individual living on both sides of the boarder. In India, Muslims cannot perform certain rituals. Notwithstanding they own India as their motherland, their association is linked to Pakistan. It is argued by liberal school of thought that the division based on two nation theory can never be justified. They argue that hindus and Muslims had been living in subcontinent for hundreds of years w...

Current Religious Intolerance

Religion is a sensitive matter that can go in favor of or against the poeple living in particular geographical boundaries. It depends upon several factors. For example broadminded, tolerant, well informed and moderate views spread light in the corridors of worship. On the other hand, narrow mindedness, rigidity, sanctimoniousness, intolerance, ignorance and sense of superiority among any religious group hinder the path of light. Unfortunately, religious intolerance has become a global phenomenon. Follower of every school of thought –be it Muslim  Christian, Hindu, Jew, Buddhist, Atheist, Agnostic or pantheist–advocates his/her own version of belief, worship or any other philosophy of life. Dissenting views are not accepted because majority is not taught to adopt flexibility and tolerance. Ultimately, diversity is curbed while rigidity is promoted. This paves the way for extremism, violence, mobocracy and sensationalism. Moreover, all these evils give way to the serious threat of ter...

Nawaz Sharif Released on Bail

Former prime Minister of Pakistan mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been granted six weeks bail today. Supreme Court of Pakistan announced decision earlier today asking Nawaz to start medical treatment within the country. Although National Accountability Bureau appealed Supreme Court of Pakistan to reject his bail. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced seven years of imprisonment in Al Azizia corruption case.  Earlier this month Nawaz Sharif had appealed in Lahore High Court asking for bail on medical grounds but it was rejected. Lahore High Court in its decision explained that all the reports of Former Prime Minister were out of danger. On the other hand Nawaz Sharif's family insisted on his release on medical grounds. It was emphasized by his daughter Marium Nawaz Sharif that my father needs serious medical treatment because of cardiac issues. Former Prime Minister Sharif's lawyer  Haris told the Supreme Court of Pakistan about his client's health issues and me...

Issues of the Third World (Pakistan)

Since evolution of civic life on the planet Earth human beings have been facing innumerable issues. Nature of such issues vary from country to country. To be more precise, the variation directly depends on the status of the country. As far as feminism is concerned, intensity of its propagation changes with change in geographical boundaries. In third world countries like Pakistan, idea of feminism does not hold ground when compared with issues that geoparadise their survival. Therefore, it is quite evident that third deals with more severe and serious issues than feminism. The third world countries do not have access to the basic necessities of life. A major piece of evidence is that majority of the third world countries struggle to get clean water and food. There are economic and security issues. Moreover, malnutrition, corruption and misuse of natural resources  further the miseries of underdeveloped nations. Leadership has not been able to deliver their promises because of incomp...

Terrorism jolts New Zealand

At least 49 people dead, several injured in planned attack during Friday prayer in New Zealand. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi condemned the brutal attack. Statement released on twitter read that terrorism has no religion. Every act of terrorism should be condemned irrespective of who committed it. A man aged 28 opened fire in Al Noor mosque while streaming it live on Facebook through helmet camera. Nothing could be more brutal than this inhuman act. World community must declare it a terrorist attack rather than calling him white supermasit. When a muslim blows himself away, whole world gathers around and target islam and muslims. This is injustice with millions of peaceful and tolerant muslims. Now a Christian attacking muslims should be an eye opener for the world to realize that terrorism has no religion, race, culture and boundaries. World must stand up against atrocities of such high extreme nature. It was indubitably right when New Zealand Prime Minister ca...

Ties with USA

Ties with USA are going to be renewed. After the recent escalation between two arch rivals, situation is going towards de escalation and peace. USA has played its part by asking both the neighbors to settle their problems through diplomacy. Keeping in mind this whole scenario, Pakistan's foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that our Relationship with USA is going to take a fresh start. The new regime in Pakistan wants to build strong friendly relations with super power. US Pakistan relations were in turmoil because of the current financial action task force issue that has put Pakistan in danger of  facing the severe punishment of blacklist. But Pakistan's timely action against proscribed and band outfits has given paris based task force an impression that new government is committed in curbing terrorist organizations. Secondly Pakistan's major role in peace talks between Afghan taliban and USA has persuaded USA to rebuild its ties with only nuclear power ...

Pakistan-India Tension in the Wake of Pulwama Attack

Pakistan is united under the leadership of Imran Khan.  "Nearly all men can stand adversity but if you want to test a man's character give him power." These are the very famous words said by Abraham Lincoln. Now, as far as Imran Khan's character is concerned, he has fought adversity throughout his life. He has faced the most difficult situations but now one of the  most dangerous things that corrupt people –power– is in Imran's hands.  instead of overplaying politics on the issue —Pulwama attack —Imran has asked India to provide actionable evidence and we will take action. He is showing us the gap between real statesman and cunning politician.  On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has blamed Pakistan without any evidence. It is surprising that India has so strong intelligence network that they can find out the culprit in few hours then it would be better that if they stop the attack  in the first place. If they had so much power of intelligence shar...

Peace is the only solution

Donald Trump has released his statement regarding Pakistan and India's current rising tensions. He said on Friday that the nuclear war between the two countries located in  South Asia will have horrible and destructive impact on whole region. While talking to reporters he also said that India's anger can result resort in destructive consequences. Then again he further that the media reporters that we are in contact between both the countries and we are trying to defuse the situation because the war is something very destructive ,it destroys the millions of humans in seconds due to the availability of destructive nuclear weapons and large scale ammunition it can be very destructive that's why all the world leaders should play their role in ending tensions between Pakistan and India.Talking to media he  further said that in the wake of Pulwama attack, Modi's government is infuriated. It must be remembered that on 14th February, a suicide Bomber attacked Paramilitary troops...

Say No to War

Say No To War   BJP–India's ruling party– clamors for war with Pakistan. Glorifying war has exposed the jingoistic approach of of Modi regime. Modi's government is making lofty claims given the time of general elections in India. Anti Pakistan narrative may bring him electoral success. Power thirsty BJP vowes to isolate Pakistan and cripple her economy. In the wake of Pulwama attack, different school of thoughts have been demanding for peace and war. They ought to understand the importance of self interest in global politics.  Talking about moral values is not a bad thing to highlight. War causes destruction is an understood fact. As Ernest Hemingway writes in A Farewell to Arms "there is nothing as bad as war. " War has no end once it gets started. On the contrary, there is nothing as good as peace and stability. Society having pacifist and sane mindset prospers at good rate. However good peace is, pragmatic approach asks for adopting a totally different approach....

MBS in Pakistan

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are going to sign three major memorandum of understanding (MoUs) of over $10 billion during the upcoming visit of De facto Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to the country. The date of despotic ruler hasn't been disclosed yet. It is expected that he will stay at prime Minister house. It is hoped and expected that he will meet with prime minister and other government officials. My blog deals with current of Pakistan.

Scepticism and Pakistan

Why should scepticism dominate certainty in Pakistan? Scepticism refers to uncertainty and doubt about everything. Rather than becoming certain and confident, one needs to follow sceptical course. Being sceptic makes you curious and knowledge-thirsty. As a famous philosopher Bertrand Russell writes "what philosophy should dissipate is certainty, whether of knowledge or of ignorance" Sceptic approach doesn't deal with the question of right and wrong. It rather shows both the ways to the one who wants to find truth and certainty; later it leaves on him to chose whatever appeals to his logic and reason.  Scepticism sheds light on the approach of the society. Progressive societies don't relegate free thinking, rather promote it through curriculum and literature. Free thinkers are regarded as a bright light  having the ability to go down deep into the depths of darkness. Current scenario here in Pakistan forces us to spread rational thinking and scepticism. Economy of Pakistan

Pakistan's economy was developing during first forty years of its formation while its decline since 90s is crystal clear. Holding just one factor responsible isn't a wise approach. Various factors contributed in her deteriorating economic condition. Relation between market and state is upside-down. Market allocates resources while state equitably distributes them. In Pakistan, both state and market are under the clutches of few elite families. Democracy in Pakistan is used  just to  cover the dynastic politics of few haves. Political parties are headed by one family; dissent in parties isn't tolerated at all. Biradri system dominates the electoral politics. Politicians manage to grab the votes en bloc rather than enfranchise.  That's why same families rule over the downtrodden masses. Then military intervention and imbalance between civil-military relations during democratic government further worsen the situation. At the end all the burde falls on the weak and dow...
